The “Feels Perfect” ZIG
ZAG GOLF putter is more than a club, it's your solution to
obtaining a perfect putt!
History of the Zig Zag Putter design:
Cisco, Zig Zag Golf president
and designer, first thought of the idea of a zigzag design around
1986 while working
as a
computer
programmer.
"With all the typing I was doing I experienced a lot of
pain in my wrists. Not just on the computer keyboard but also
gripping
a golf club caused pain in my wrists. The simple task of bending
my wrists was uncomfortable to say the least. I was a golf fanatic
and thought there had to be a better way to grip the putter shaft
that was painless and comfortable. There were new keyboards that
were designed to minimize pain caused by carpal tunnel syndrome
and I knew I could do something for my putting grip.
Around the same time I sprained my ankle and I had to use crutches.
I just happen to have some golf balls around and started
to use one of my crutches to put the
ball. I realized that a grip that was more parallel to the ground did not cause
any pain in my wrist. I stared at the crutch and figured that a zigzag design
could be used to put a ball without contributing to my already painful wrists.
I used a piece of wood to carve out my first zigzag shaft design and played
with that around the house until I got tired and thought
that this will never work.
After putting the carved shaft away to collect dust I just pretty much gave
up on the idea. During the next 10 years I played with pain but also heard
of a
couple of famous professional golfers that have had surgery on their wrist.
I then decided to see if I could actually make a shaft that could be use by
thousands
of golfers with wrist pain caused by arthritis, carpal tunnel, broken bones,
etc. That is how we came up with the first Zig Zag Golf - Feels Perfect putter
shaft."
